I was Proposed by A Villain [Part 44]

Chapter 6 {2} : Foundation Day, Truth and Sincerity (6)

*****

"Come in."

If he didn't hear it, she tried to go back to her bed and lie down, but the voice of permission came from beyond the door.

Obviously, she knocked on the door, but she hesitated to open it even when he said to come in.

Her hesitant hand slowly rested on the doorknob.

'What am I doing. I must have gone crazy.'

She had no idea what she was thinking and knocking on this door. Was she really trying to say something to him? Like what, I'm leaving soon, so please stop being nice to me?

She hesitated for a while, unable to open the door, then took a step back. She just couldn't get her feet in there.

However, when the fingertips holding the doorknob fell off, the door opened from the other side.

"Why are you standing there? Come here."

He was also getting ready to sleep, and he had changed into comfortable clothes, not the banquet clothes she saw earlier.

His eyes bent flexibly as he held the door. He looked like he had caught his prey.

Trying to run away, she had no choice but to follow him into his room.

There were glasses and wine on the table as if he was drinking. The strange thing was that there were two glasses, not one. As if someone would come.

"Would you like a drink?"

He led her to his seat and picked up the wine.

Of course, she should have refused, but she was nodding her head involuntarily. Apparently, the drink she drank in the banquet hall had not completely disappeared. She had done unreasonable things.

He filled the glass and put it in front of her. The red drink glittered in the dim light.

Everything seems so unreal.

She came into Arsene's room, with her drinking glass in front of her, and his purple eyes looking at her.

As she sat blankly staring at the glass, she suddenly remembered how she had come here.

I think he was being so sweet that she thought it was frustrating because it kept breaking her down. She came here as if she was possessed again.

It felt like a rabbit that came into the tiger's den with her own feet.

Arsene thought so too, tilting his glass and looking at her.

"It's surprising. You come to me first."

The purple, buried in the darkness, was a mysterious color different from what it had seen during the day. His gaze was persistent every time, making even the slightest lift of his finger bother her.

Her mouth seemed to dry out.

Regina, who held her share of the glass, savored the scent and drank her throat with alcohol.

Regina, holding her glass, savored the scent, and drenched her throat with alcohol.

What should she say? She rolled my eyes around in panic and sipped one after another, the glass quickly emptied.

"Have I never visited you before?"

She tried to roll her head, but she couldn't remember if she had. All that was certain was that this was the first time she had entered his room.

"There were a lot of times you avoided it.”

His eyes folded and the corners of his lips raised, and he smiled softly. His voice was full of mischief, which seemed to make fun of her.

But for some reason, Regina was easily embarrassed by that.

Her pupils trembled relentlessly. Arsene held back his laughter as he looked at her bewildered expression. If she had been Regina as usual, she would have tried to keep her expression calm, but his fiancee seemed a little drunk already.

As she drank the refilled wine and gave herself a little steam, she quickly changed the subject.

"Come to think of it, what happened to the leopard I saw back then? The leopard I saw that day. At some point, it was gone."

"Oh, that kid."

He brought up the leopard story as she wanted, as if he was willing to let it go.

He beckoned lightly as he saw her tilting her glass as if she was thirsty. His eyes still glowed mischievously as he leaned his chin on one hand and pointed to the side of table.

"Here you are."

"What?"

As she followed his hand and turned her head, Regina was about to faint.

Obviously, a large beast had entered the space where they were the only ones before. It was the leopard she saw last time.

The leopard, who appeared out of nowhere to her, who had taken a big breath and hardened, approached her.

As the leopard pecked its nose and sniffed her, she breathed carefully as if she had become ice.

The mustache at the tip of his nose flinched and his ears popped. The leopard, who had been sniffed her as if he was searching for a while, sat down in front of her.

".....?"

Regina, who was very nervous, made eye contact with the leopard, who was staring at her. His round eyes and the triangle-shaped mouth seemed a little cute too. Of course, the fact that it was a beast hasn't changed.

"Do you want to stroke it?"

Arsene smiled, watching her various facial changes.

"Don't worry. He didn't bite."

His decisive tone eased her guard a little. When he said that, she thought she wasn't really going to get bitten.

After hesitating, she stretched out her stiff hands little by little. The leopard didn't react much and calmly watched as her hand approached.

Finally, her fingertips reached his wide forehead. The leopard gently closed his eyes when she took courage to stroke them with warmth and soft touch.

Her rigid body slowly loosened and her hand became more actively, stroking his head and chin, thinking he wouldn't do her any harm to her.

She turned her head to Arsene, who was looking at her.

"But where did this kid pop out of nowhere?"

The leopard's tail was not visible until he sat down. It didn't make sense that she didn't notice this size.

She tilted her head wondering where the hell did he come from, but Arsene cleared her doubts.

"It appears wherever you call it."

With a light gesture, the leopard rose from its seat and disappeared. Then he appeared again, wandering from the other side.

It appears wherever you call it. It wasn't an ordinary beast either.

She rubbed his head as if she felt good when she gently scraped the fur of the leopard that had approached her again.

"What's this kid's name?"

She was stroking his smooth fur as if her fear had completely disappeared. Even the stains on her hair were so cute.

"It's kitty."

"Yes?"

Regina couldn't believe the smooth words that came out of Arsene's mouth.

He smiled, and said it again.

"Kitty. That's what you called it."

Her thought circuit paused for a moment and then returned slowly.

She used to call the leopard a 'Kitty', if she recalled his words. And only once did she call the cat that she saw in the palace 'Kitty'. That meant the cat was the leopard, no, that leopard was the cat.

Arsene couldn't resist laughing when she made an indescribable expression.

"This is what it was originally like, and it was in the form of a cat for a while. I'm afraid you'll be surprised."

The appearance of a cute little cat caught her off guard, and she followed it without knowing anything.

So in the end, it meant that she was scared of the leopard's appearance and lured her by doing so in case she would not follow.

When she found out about it, there was one more suspicious thing.

"Then, was it Arsene who did all the hair ornaments that fell back then?"

If the headdress hadn't fallen off, the cat wouldn't have taken it, and she wouldn't have followed it.

He shrugged his shoulders deftly as she looked at him suspicious.

"No, it was just a coincidence. Thanks to that, the cat was able to bring it."

Regina couldn't take away her doubts, recalling the situation at the time when it was quite unnatural. But now she wondered what it had to do with it.

"So what's his real name?"

She thought he said that as a joke, so she asked for his real name, but he shook his head.

"Kitty."

"Don't be kidding. Other than that, there must be a name that Arsene originally used to call."

"Nothing."

His stern tone gave her a look of disbelief.

"Then you grew it out without a name until now?"

"It's absurd to say that I grew it, but yes. I didn't have to call his name."

When Arsene winked, the leopard who was sitting stood up from his seat.

"That's why it became a name since you called him Kitty."

The leopard, who wandered around and walked to one side, disappeared again in a blink of an eye.

"No, then you should give him a cooler name, not Kitty."

Frustrated Regina took her eyes off the disappeared leopard and looked at him as if this was nonsense.

But he didn't care about her absurd expression, he picked up his glass and slammed it against her. The sound of clear glass resounded lightly.

"More than that, please pay attention to me now, Regina."

His purple eyes looked straight at her as if they were digging deep into her. He wanted attention from her like a whining child.

At his blatant words, her eyes wandered in the air. The room has been so hot ever since earlier. She could clearly feel his gaze, which did not fall even in the midst of hazy mood.

He tapped her fingertips on the table as if asking her to look at him.

It was a small touch, but she flinched as if she had been electrocuted. Not knowing what to do, she drank the rest of the wine at once.

"I think it's late at night. I'll go to bed now."

Then she jumped up from her seat and moved.

Unfortunately, alcohol has started to affect her. Her head was dizzy, her vision seemed to be spinning, and the next moment Arsene's face appeared in front of her.

"....."

He picked up her as she collapsed and smiled as he looked at her in his arms.

"That's a very active interest. Thank you."

Regina, whose face turned red, pushed his chest with both hands to get up from his arms.

But he didn't even budge.

Thanks to this, Regina's face, which had become as if she was groping his firm chest with muscles, heated up even more. The touch felt at the fingertips was especially clear even with a hazy mind.

He was usually pushed out as she pushed him, but he didn't loosen the arms around her back. From a distance close enough to breathe, he watched her pink eyes flutter.

His lips, which drew a fine line, slowly opened and a low voice attacked her as if it would devour her.

"Can I kiss you?"

She closed her eyes and clenched her fist, unable to keep her mind awake by the temptation that poured out without filtration in front of her eyes.

"....No."

Once again, he was a little more pressed by the push, but he let her go with a drop of regret.

Regina dragged her loose legs, forcing her legs. Like Orpheus, who knows she will be dragged to the underworld when she looks back and that she will never be able to go back, she looks forward and walks away.

Arsene, who was holding the lingering warmth in his arms and hands, looked at Regina who was showing her back to him and finally saw her closing the door until the end.
